Bruce Carlin attended college at SUNY Plattsburgh from 1978-1981 graduating with a BS in Communications. During his college years he work at WPLT-FM and PSTV, the campus college station.  It was during his time at WPLT-FM that he created and developed the character of Homer Goddeau, a local farmer with a lot on his mind. This character has made appearances throughout Carlin's professional career being reprised for a year on WCEL-FM, an NPR affiliate now a part of the WNCS-FM NPR family. Additionally Homer has been featured in numerous newspaper and local tv news stories.
